SPANISH PIONEERS IN SUSTAINABLE FASHION.

ECOALF is a Spanish company that has been on the market for 12 years. I got to know them through the mother of my best friend — super thank you, Mrs A! Founded by Javier Goyeneche and named after his son. I do not know any other company that would contribute to the recycling on such a scale, and I mean all kinds of resources: from classic cotton and nylon, to tires and fishing nets. From the very beginning, the idea is clearly expressed by the founder:

“I WANTED TO CREATE A TRULY SUSTAINABLE FASHION BRAND, AND I BELIEVED THE MOST SUSTAINABLE THING TO DO WAS TO STOP USING NATURAL RESOURCES IN A CARELESS WAY TO ENSURE THOSE TO THE NEXT GENERATION. RECYCLING COULD BE A SOLUTION IF WE WERE ABLE TO MAKE A NEW GENERATION OF RECYCLED PRODUCTS WITH THE SAME QUALITY AND DESIGN AS THE BEST NON RECYCLED.”

Tons of saved water with their conscious production.
Range of recycled/post-consumption materials ECOALF is using.

There is a lot to talk about, I think this short video which they made for their 10 years’ anniversary explains it adequately.

WHY?

For many reasons which you could see above and more reasons at their website. I would like to honour their involvement in saving the oceans by cleaning them up with the hands of thousands of fishermen in different parts of the world.
